Individual therapy in Seattle & Washington State

A demanding career, a full family life, or a fresh start can leave little space to notice how you are doing. When worry, self-doubt, or exhaustion begins to shape your days, therapy offers time to understand the pattern and work toward change.

I’m Dipesh Patel, a clinical social worker licensed to provide therapy in Washington State. I offer structured online individual therapy for adults in Seattle, Bellevue, and communities across Washington, with attention to your goals, relationships, and everyday life.

Support for the patterns that keep you stuck

  • Anxiety, rumination, and feeling unable to switch off.
  • Burnout, perfectionism, and pressure to keep achieving.
  • Difficulty setting boundaries or expressing your needs.
  • Family expectations, cultural identity, and questions of belonging.
  • LGBTQ+ identity, relationships, and life transitions.
  • Parenthood, fertility experiences, relocation, and changing roles.

Practical work, shaped around your goals

My approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Together, we examine the thoughts, emotions, and habits that keep a difficulty going and practice ways of responding that fit your values.

If your workday continues in your head long after you log off, for example, we might explore what makes it difficult to stop, how you respond to worry, and what a workable boundary would look like. The aim is to connect our conversations to changes you can practice between sessions.

We start with what brings you in, what has helped or disappointed you before, and what you want to be different. We set priorities together and revisit them as your circumstances and needs change.

Your experience in its full context

Moving for work, becoming a parent, or building a life across cultures can bring opportunity alongside loneliness, uncertainty, and competing expectations. There is room in therapy to explore those tensions without needing to minimize them.

I work with professionals, first-generation and immigrant adults, Asian and South Asian clients, LGBTQ+ clients, and parents. Your identity and background help inform the work; they do not define what your experience must be.

Online individual therapy throughout Washington

Sessions take place by secure video for adults in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Tacoma, Everett, Olympia, Vancouver, Spokane, Bellingham, and elsewhere in Washington State. My practice is based in Chicago, and Washington appointments are telehealth only.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a diagnosis before contacting you?

No. You can reach out with questions about stress, relationships, a transition, or a pattern you want to understand. A consultation gives us a chance to discuss your concerns, current availability, and whether working together may be a fit.

What are the first sessions like?

We discuss your concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals. We then agree on a focus and consider what progress would look like in your daily life.

What should I know about fees and insurance?
