Individual therapy in Portland & Oregon

You can be dependable, thoughtful, and accomplished—and still feel exhausted by what it takes to keep everything going. Perhaps you replay conversations, struggle to rest, say yes when you want to say no, or feel responsible for everyone else’s comfort.

Individual therapy can help you understand these patterns and create more room for the life you want to lead. I offer structured online therapy for adults in Portland and throughout Oregon.

What we can work on

Therapy with a direction

My approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. We explore how thoughts, emotions, and habits interact, then practice responses that better support your values and needs.

For example, setting a boundary may involve more than finding the right words. We might also work with the guilt that follows, the fear of disappointing someone, and the tendency to undo the boundary when discomfort appears.

We begin by clarifying what feels difficult, what you have already tried, and what meaningful progress would look like. Goals remain collaborative and can change as we learn more together.

Space for the whole context

Work pressure, family obligations, cultural expectations, identity, and parenting rarely stay in separate compartments. Therapy can explore how they shape one another without assuming that your background determines your experience.

My practice is especially attuned to professionals, first-generation and immigrant adults, Asian and South Asian clients, LGBTQ+ clients, and parents navigating demanding seasons of life.

Online individual therapy across Oregon

Meet by secure video from a private space in Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Salem, Eugene, Bend, Medford, or elsewhere in Oregon. I am an Oregon-licensed LCSW and offer telehealth appointments rather than in-person office visits in the state.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a specific diagnosis to ask about therapy?

No. You can reach out because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about a transition. We can discuss your concerns and whether therapy with me is appropriate during the consultation and assessment process.

What happens in the first sessions?

We discuss your concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals. Together, we develop a focus for the work and revisit it as therapy progresses.

Can I use insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. Some plans may reimburse eligible therapy services; coverage is not guaranteed. See Fees and Insurance for current details.
